A boat that had about 150 asylum-seekers capsized off Christmas Island on Tuesday but the Australian navy is said to have saved most of them. According to the Australian Maritime Safety Authority, two navy ships were at the site where this happened and a spokesperson also said that the two naval vessels at the scene were able to get a lot of the people out of the water very quickly. He could not confirm if anyone had died and the cause of the sinking was not known. Reports said that very few people had been wearing their life jackets at the time of the incident and help was provided to those in trouble.
