January 16 , 2018
Rohingya refugees who fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar following an army crackdown will be repatriated back to their country. As per media reports, a time frame has been agreed between Bangladesh and Myanmar to send back the refugees. Bangladesh says that Myanmar would be accepting 1,500 Rohingya refuges every week. Within two years, all the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh would be returned to Myanmar. Following the eruption of violence in Myanmar's Rakhine state in August, around 650,000 Rohingyas fled to Bangladesh.
