A youth involved in a suicide attack in Iraq was a teenager of 18 years from Melbourne, it has been revealed.
The bomb attack in a market near a mosque in Baghdad had killed at least three people while wounding scores of people.
Sunni militant group Isis had claimed responsibility for the attack and named the bomber as Abu Bakr al-Australi.
Describing the news as a “disturbing development,” George Brandis, Australia’s attorney-general, said the government was “deeply concerned about the involvement of Australians in these activities.”
