Australia: Storms batter New South Wales; three deaths reported

Severe storms have struck Australia’s New South Wales state, with three deaths reported from a flood-hit area. Thousands of homes are left without power.
Police said that they were trying to ascertain how the three people had died in Dungog town, which was badly affected by floods.
More than 200,000 homes in the state including many in Sydney are without power, and there have been reports of people stuck in their homes and cars.
Meanwhile, many transport services and flights have been delayed or cancelled, reports said.
