Australia: 15-year-old who shot police worker had 'links to terrorism'
October 3 , 2015
Police in Australia believe that a 15-year-old boy who shot and killed a police worker had terror links.
The teenager, believed to be of Iraqi-Kurdish ethnicity, was killed by the New South Wales police after he shot the worker outside the police headquarters. Authorities so far believe that he was acting alone.
Curtis Cheng, the victim of Friday’s shooting, was a finance worker employed with the New South Wales police force. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said Friday’s incident was “a shocking crime”.
