Audience members faint while watching Shakespeare play
May 2 , 2014
Titus Andronicus by Shakespeare is so gory that audience members in the Globe Theatre have been fainting or feeling sick. Some of them reported that they haven't been able to get sleep after watching the play, which features mutilations, rapes, 14 deaths, and cannibalism.
Five people fainted on Tuesday, according to media reports and producers said that the play is "grotesquely violent and daringly experimental."
Reports suggest that dozens of people felt the same way back in 2006.
