At least 45 people were killed and more than 60 wounded in a suicide bomb attack on Sunday, November 23, in eastern Afghanistan that targeted a volleyball match.
The attack took place in Yahyakhail district of Paktika province, one of the most volatile areas of the country, media reports say.
The bomber who was reportedly wearing a belt of explosives blew himself amid players and spectators gathered for the youth tournament.
Some policemen are believed to be among the dead.
An official said that the absence of a checkpoint made it easier for the bomber to pass undetected.
