Argentina: Court dismisses controversial case against President Cristina Fernandez
February 27 , 2015
A case against Argentina’s president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner and foreign minister Hector Timerman has been dismissed.
The duo had been accused of a cover-up to shield the alleged involvement of Iran in the 1994 bomb attack on a Jewish center.
Federal judge Daniel Rafecas said there was insufficient evidence to pursue these charges.
Special prosecutor Alberto Nisman, who had made the allegations, was found dead in his apartment in January.
