Arab states looking to put more pressure on Qatar over 2013 accord
July 11 , 2017
Four Arab states – Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Egypt are looking to put greater pressure over Qatar regarding charges that it is supporting terrorism. They are pointing towards the publication of a 2013 accord between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, which states that the latter would never meddle in any affair related to other countries in Arabian Gulf. It was always known that such an agreement existed but its contents had never been made public. It was CNN that first published the text of said agreement.
