Air France A380 Flight 066 made Emergency Landing in Canada after Partial Engine Failure
October 1 , 2017
Air France A380 superjumbo jetliner (world’s largest passenger planes) from Paris to Los Angeles with over 500 people on-board had to make emergency landing in Canada yesterday after “serious damage” was detected in one of its 4 engines. An Air France spokesman in Paris told media that the double-decker Airbus Flight 066 landed safely at Canada’s Goose Bay military airport and all 520 people (496 passengers and 24 crew members) on-board are evacuated without any injury. Though reason of the engine failure is still not known, some reports say that bird strike may have caused the partial engine failure.
