Agreement reached at Lima climate change talks
December 15 , 2014
A plan which will see all countries committing to cut their greenhouse emissions has been agreed upon at the climate change talks in Lima.
The plan is being described as a vital first step towards a comprehensive deal on climate change when negotiators meet in Paris next year.
Countries have to reveal how they intend to cut their carbon emissions, preferably by March.
Peru’s environment minister Manuel Pulgar-Vidal said the Lima agreement was not perfect but it “includes the positions of the parties”.
