Aeromexico is sorry for casting call

  • Aeromexico airline has apologized for asking "dark-skinned" people to not apply for auditioning. The casting call sought only well-to-do people in white neighborhoods. Tamara De Anda, a Mexican blogger tweeted about the casting call and said it specified that "they don't want anyone dark-skinned."

    The airline mentioned the ad agency, Catatonia and said it is "sorry for Catatonia's discriminatory stance, that was circulated today on social media. We offer our sincerest apology and reiterate our respect for all people, no matter their gender, language, religion, nor their skin color."

    Racism has been a subject of debate since a long time in Latin America.
