90 Whales Feared Died at the Tasmania Coast

Marine rescue teams are working on war footing to save a pod of pilot whales stranded off Tasmania's coast in Australia. More than 90 mammals feared dead out of 270. Experts believe it is not easy to say what drew the whales to the shore. Whale breachings are common in the region, but this kind has not occurred in over a decade. The last recorded large scale mass stranding took place in Tasmania in 2009 involve around 200 whales.
