29 People Injured as IED Bomb Explodes in London Underground, ISIS Claims Responsibility
September 16 , 2017
Reports say 29 people have been hurt by a homemade IED (Improvised Explosive Device) when it exploded in a rush-hour Tube carriage on the London Underground at Parsons Green on Friday. However, reports say that the bomb exploded only partially, lessening the harm significantly. ISIS has claimed responsibility of the attack through its propaganda page, Amaq. However, experts have called the announcement by ISIS unusual as the suspect is still at large. Some say the ISIS claim was their sign of desperation to remain afloat as a terror organization. Meanwhile, on Joint Terrorism Analysis Center’s recommendation, UK Prime Minister Theresa May has raised threat level of the country from “severe” to “critical”.
