20 killed in violence in Afghanistan

In an escalation of violence in Afghanistan, at least 20 people were killed in multiple attacks suspected to be carried out by the Taliban.
Those killed included 12 members of a team that clears mines. Afghan president Ashraf Ghani said the country’s enemies were behind the attack, which was reportedly carried out my motorcycle-borne assailants.
Meanwhile, in capital Kabul seven soldiers were killed in a suicide bomb attack, and a senior court official was shot dead.
