More than 20 people are dying of Ebola every day in Sierra Leone, the government has estimated.
On Monday alone, 49 new cases of the disease were confirmed from two of the hardest hit zones in the capital Freetown region in the country’s west.
Earlier, more Ebola cases were detected in the east. But on Monday there were no new cases in the eastern region.
So far more than 4,500 people have died of Ebola in west Africa this year.
