Windows 8 is not allowed to be used in China

  • Those working for the Chinese government aren't allowed to install Windows 8 since Microsoft has stopped supporting Windows XP, which was used a lot in the country.

    The Chinese government is now trying to avoid a similar situation of "awkwardness" in the future.

    The ban means another issue for Microsoft in a nation where it has previously struggled with sales.
