Uber President Jeff Jones Leaves the Company
March 20 , 2017
As per reports, Uber president Jeff Jones resigned from his position in less than six months after he joined the company. The resignation came as a shock to the executives.
Some sources mentioned that Jones was disappointed as the company was hiring a new chief operating officer and as he was not one among those candidates; while other sources said that it was because of the taxi booking app’s continued struggle with issues around sexual harassment and sexism that Jones left.
Uber, headquartered in San Francisco, California, has had a reputation of being an aggressive and unapologetic start-up. Over the last several weeks, the company was battered with multiple controversies.
