Samsung unveils Galaxy Mega smartphone
April 12 , 2013
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Mega on Thursday, the biggest smartphone to date with a 6.3-inch screen.
According to the firm, the size makes it ideal for watching videos or running two apps alongside each other.
The device will go on sale in May, with Europe and Russia as the first regions to be offered the model.
Samsung helped popularize the "phablet" category with its 5.3-inch Galaxy Note in 2011.
China's Huawei previously boasted having the biggest-screened smartphone with its 6.1-inch Ascend Mate.
