Sale of curved TVs to start in the US
July 25 , 2013
LG and Samsung have now introduced curved televisions in the U.S. after flat screens being a selling point for televisions for around a decade.
The TVs with concave screens are being launched in the country this week and the idea behind the concept, according to the two Korean electronics companies is the ability of the viewers to see the screen even at the edges.
The sets with a suggested price of $15,000 are uber-thin and sleek to look at and the tricky production wouldn't allow the prices to come down anytime soon.
Explanation by CNET on why this is a "dream" TV suggests that the sets have an incredible contrast, are impossibly thin as well as extremely energy efficient.
