Privacy watchdogs flag breached webcam site

  • People across the world are being warned by data watchdogs about a website that reportedly contains live feeds to baby monitors as well as CCTV systems and webcams, running into the thousands.

The website, believed to be based in Russia, broadcasts the footage from these systems by using default passwords or without any log-in codes. Streams from at least 250 countries are listed on the site, media reports said.

Camera manufactures have urged users to immediately change default passwords and set new passwords that are not easy to crack.
