PC demand plunges by a record amount

Market research firm IDC said that shipments of personal computers plunged by a record 10.6 percent in the fourth quarter from a year ago due to falling global demands. As per media reports, during the period some 71.9 million units were shipped. This includes the key Christmas shopping season. IDC said that the decline was the worst since it had begun tracking PC shipments.
