Now, hackers issue threat to US cinemas
December 17 , 2014
Hackers behind the attacks on Sony Pictures have now threatened American cinemas showing The Interview, the studio’s new release.
In their warning, the group, which calls itself Guardians of Peace, mentions the 9/11 attacks.
They have also released additional data stolen from the networks of Sony.
Sony’s film is a comedy in which North Korea's leader is assassinated. Though North Korea has denied involvement in the cyber attack, it has publicly supported the "righteous deed".
