Nokia halves U.S. price of flagship smartphone
July 16 , 2012
Nokia has halved the U.S. price of its flagship smartphone just some three months after its launch.
The move comes in a bid to cut its losses in market share to rivals such as Apple and Samsung.
The cost of the Lumia 900 Windows phone has been reduced to $49.99 from $99 with a two-year agreement with AT&T.
Once the world's biggest mobile phone provider, Nokia was late to join the smartphone market.
The Lumia 900 features a 4.3-inch screen, 1.4-gigahertz processor and 8-megapixel camera and uses largely untested software from Microsoft.
