Netflix to release sequel of 'Crouching Tiger' next year

  • Netflix, the online video site, will release its first feature-length film in 2015, according to media reports.

    The video streaming site has struck a deal with Weinstein Company, allowing the ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ sequel to be shown on Netflix as well as Imax theaters.

    Netflix, which has more than 50 million subscribers in over 40 countries, is already producing its own television programs.

    Co-chairman of the Weinstein Company Harvey Weinstein said his firm’s “great relationship” with Netflix “was tremendously exciting.”
