Microsoft promises to lower carbon footprint from July
May 9 , 2012
Software giant Microsoft has vowed to reduce its carbon footprint in a bid to help protect the environment.
From July, the company’s data centres, software development labs and offices will be carbon neutral.
Microsoft’s initiative comes on the back of increasing pressure from environmental groups on the technology industry to adopt renewable energy.
Rivals Facebook and Google have also promised to shift to more efficient sources.
