Microsoft launches touch-ready version of Office software

Microsoft has unveiled a touch-ready version of its leading productivity software suite, Office.
Office 2013 has been designed for mobile devices, cloud computing, and social networking.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook will now be responsive to touch-screen controls. Taps, swipes, and pinch-and-zoom can be used with documents, files and presentations.
Office is the most popular productivity application, boasting a billion users worldwide.
It is also Microsoft's key source of revenue and revamps like this are intended to enable the company to retain its market lead.
