Microsoft concerned about PRISM
July 18 , 2013
Many people are not happy about PRISM and other government surveillance programs and Microsoft's general counsel is amongst them. Brad Smith sent a letter to Eric holder yesterday and asked the attorney general to convince President Obama to be more open with the public about this program. He wrote that the lack of openness doesn't go with what the Constitution stands for and that things needed to be set right.
In his blog post to expand upon his letter, he mentioned the freedom of speech and expressed his concerns about not being granted permission to be more open to the public.
