Mail line of London opened to public, history unearthed
August 9 , 2017
A train will soon be coming back to life deep underneath the busy streets of London. Once upon a time this used to be a very important part of the communications technology in the region. It also needs to be stated in this context that it has not been used for years now. The train would be operating on what can be called the “mail rail” line. This is an underground rail track that covers a distance of 6.4 miles. As the name would suggest it was used to transport letters and parcels 70 feet below the ground.
