June 24 , 2012
Hewlett Packard may cut as many as 1,000 jobs in Germany as part of planned pan-European redundancies, WirtschaftsWoche reported.
Citing unnamed company officials, the German magazine said HP may cut about 8,000 positions in Europe by the end of 2014
HP, which employs more than 300,000 workers worldwide, said last month the layoff of 27,000 workers would be made primarily through early retirement.
The move is expected to generate annual savings of $3 to $3.5 billion.
