Hotel chains reveal data breach

Several major hotels such as Marriott and Holiday Inn have disclosed consumer data breaches as Congress is trying to figure out how cybercriminals take advantage of system flaws in order to get to sensitive data.
Lawmakers are already concerned about data breaches at Target and Neiman Marcus and the revelation that hotel chains are hit as well adds to the concern.
"As security professionals, it's not only important to know what threats are coming at us, but what our peers are going about them," CEO of CyberEdge Steve Piper said. "This report provides this level of insight in a purely unbiased way."
