Hack attack: T-Mobile data of 15 million customers stolen
October 2 , 2015
The personal information of approximately 15 million US customers of T-Mobile has been stolen by hackers.
The data breach occurred at a unit of a credit agency used by T-Mobile to process subscriber information.
Names, social security numbers and birth dates have been stolen, but the customers’ financial details were not compromised.
T-Mobile chief executive John Legere said his firm’s links with credit agency Experian would be reviewed, adding that he was “incredibly angry” about the data theft.
