Google updating algorithms to favor 'mobile-friendly' websites

Search giant Google is updating search algorithms to promote sites that function properly on mobile devices.
Google assesses “mobile friendliness” of a website by its text size, synchronization of content to fit on a mobile screen, and the kind of space available between links.
In a blog post, the tech firm said that mobile friendliness will have a “significant” impact on Google search results. The company is offering tools to help websites adhere to the new guidelines.
