Google introduces ad-free internet project

  • Technology giant Google has introduced a new project named Contributor, which gives net users the option to pay for visiting websites instead of seeing adverts, according to media reports.

A monthly fee ranging from $1 to $3 would be charged for advertisements-free sites.

Users who take up the subscription would see a pixelated pattern in the place of an ad on a participating site.

So far the system is in a testing stage and only a few websites, such as Urban Dictionary have been signed on.
