Climate change could lead to more severe winters in Eurasia
October 27 , 2014
Global warming has doubled the peril of harsh winters in northern Asia and Europe, new research says.
Climate change could melt the ice cap in the Arctic region and lead to newer wind patterns which in turn may push snow and freezing air towards the south, the findings that appear in Nature Geoscience say.
The new research is based on complex computer modeling that is said to be the most comprehensive so far.
