Apple revenue meets Wall Street expectations

  • Apple announced on Thursday its fiscal fourth quarter revenue rose to $35.96 billion, in line with Wall Street estimates of $35.8 billion.

Trading in the stock was halted after hours.

Meanwhile, Apple shipped 26.9 million iPhones, higher than the 25 million to 26 million that analysts had expected.

Sales of the iPad sat at 14 million in the fourth quarter, below forecasts for the tablet.

Apple heads into the next quarter with a fresh product line, including an upgraded iPad, the iPad Mini, both launched this week, and the iPhone, which was launched last month.
