World Cross Country Championships All Set to Start This Weekend in Uganda

  • As per reports, the World Cross Country Championships is going to start in Kampala, Uganda on March 26.

    Claire Duck is the captain of the British team that comprises senior women, junior men and junior women.

    On April 23, the world's best elite runners and keen amateurs will be seen taking part in one of the most important races in athletics.

    Winner of last year's Berlin marathon in the second-quickest time ever, Ethiopian great Kenenisa Bekele, is going to head the men's elite field. Kenya's Stanley Biwott will also be seen there.

    Reports further revealed that Six-time Paralympic gold medallist David Weir mentioned that this would be his last participation in the championship as he will be retiring after the men's elite wheelchair race.
