Woman runs for 86 hours without sleeping
December 28 , 2013
A New Zealand woman finished the longest run without getting any sleep earlier this week.
Kim Allan covered 310 miles in 86 hours and set a world record.
Allan had issues with the heat as well as blisters, which she solved by cutting off the top of her shoes. "The heat is a problem and she's had a few stomach problems," her coach said.
Reports suggest that it was hardest for her to run between 3 am to 5 am since that's when the body clock wants to get sleep.
According to The Herald, Allan raised more than $7k during the long run. She said everything is a "bit surreal at the moment."
