Wales Rugby League star Danny Jones dies after collapsing during game

  • Wales Rugby League star Danny Jones has died after collapsing during a game following a suspected cardiac arrest.

    Jones, 29, who played for the Keighley Cougars club and made 12 appearances for Wales, had collapsed during a game in London on Sunday. He was treated at the venue before being rushed to the Royal Free Hospital.

    In a statement, Cougars said that they were “devastated” and described Jones as the “life and soul in the dressing room” and an “irreplaceable” player.
