Tim Lincecum pitches in the ninth inning of his no hitter
July 15 , 2013
Tim Lincecum who had already bagged two Cy Young Awards as well as two World Series rings now has a remarkable no-hitter. He says that he's not sure as to how he should react emotionally and is still pinching himself. He was lifted from the ground and mobbed by his teammates that later on gave him a champagne shower in the clubhouse.
Reportedly, Lincecum's 148 pitches made the second highest record since 1988 and it's extremely unusual to see a pitcher up over 140 pitches in a no-hitter. Fielder Hunter Pence said that this game had been one of the greatest feelings for him and also one of the greatest things of which to be a part.
