Serbia stun France to reach final of Basketball World Cup

  • Serbia stunned France 90-85 in the semi-finals of the Basketball World Cup to set up a clash with defending champions United States in the finals, reports said.

    France, the European champions, were the favorites to win the game after their quarter-final victory over hosts Spain. But the Serbs were the better team, taking a 46-32 lead in the first half.

    Milos Teodosic top-scored for Serbia with 24 points. Serbian forward Nikola Kalinic said the team were determined to play their “best basketball” in the finals.
