Real Madrid legend suffered heart attack

  • Alfredo Di Stefano, considered to be the greatest footballer to have played for the club Real Madrid, was said to be stable after he suffered a heart attack.

The 88-year-old was admitted in a Madrid hospital and put in an induced coma.

He “remains clinically stable, but his condition remains serious”, a medical report stated.

Born in Argentina, Stefano joined Real in 1953. In his 11 years at the Spanish club, he won five European Cups and was twice voted European player of the year.
