NFL to use ex players as guinea pigs
August 16 , 2013
The NFL is not only supporting doping but is also supplying the dope. About 70 former players are being made to take human growth hormone in a study. Another 30 players would be given placebos.
A close eye would be kept on the HGH levels after the trial.
The purpose of the study is to get a better idea of the normal levels in the body since human body does produce some of it naturally.
HGH is supposed to be tested on current players in this season and the offenders will be getting suspended.
It is not clear if any of the former players agreed to being participants in the study. It is also yet unknown as to how prescriptions would be obtained for the trial.
