NBA fines Grizzlies' Tony Allen $5,000 for flop
May 25 , 2013
The NBA fined Memphis Grizzlies' Tony Allen $5,000 for violating its anti-flop regulations. Playing against the San Antonio Spurs in the second game of the Western Conference, Manu Ginobili reached out to prevent Allen from driving to the hoop and grabbed his hand. Authorities called a flagrant foul against Ginobili. Allen hit the court and rolled over while holding his head in what was apparent pain. Video replays, however, showed that his head never hit the court.
The Spurs currently lead Grizzlies 2-0 this series. The next game is scheduled to be held on Saturday at the FedExForum in Memphis.
