April 30 , 2014
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced that LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling will not be allowed to attend any games or practices at the NBA and will also be fined $2.5 million. Silver mentioned that this was the maximum fine allowed under the constitution.
He also revealed that Sterling had been interviewed and an investigation concluded that he was the one in the offensive taped conversation.
"This has been a painful moment for all members of the NBA family," Silver said.
