Nadal to face Nalbandian in Brazil Open final

  • Rafa Nadal secured a 6-3 6-7 6-1 win over Argentine Martin Alund in Sao Paulo on Saturday to qualify for the Brazil Open final.

The Spaniard will face David Nalbandian later today in the final.

Nalbandian beat Italian Simone Bolelli 6-3 7-5 to secure his spot in the final.

Nadal is playing only his second tournament in seven months after being out of action due to a knee injury.

The 11-times grand slam champion is expected to take part in a tournament in Acapulco this month as he prepares to defend his French Open title in May.
