Mass. school's football season is canceled
November 21 , 2013
A Massachusetts high school canceled its remaining football season due to several incidents with racism.
For instance, a message including the n-word was sprayed on a 13-year-old's door. The FBI has been looking into reports that Lunenberg High School's team Blue Knights even used racist slurs against another team during several football games.
Citing safety concerts, school officials decided to forfeit the rest of the season; last week's game was canceled as well.
The slurs resulted in fights between the school and a Worcester high school's team. The father of an 8th-grade victim said they almost feel as if they need a lawyer since Lunenberg kept everyone in the dark about the incidents.
