Los Angeles Dodgers put Hanley Ramirez on disabled list

  • Los Angeles Dodgers’ Hanley Ramirez was put on the disabled list for 15 days after an injury to his left hamstring during the Friday match against San Francisco Giants.

A.J. Ellis' single sent Ramirez sliding from first base to third only to get thrown out. He clutched at his left thigh in obvious pain and had to be assisted off field. Ramirez has been plagued by a series of injuries including a surgery on his right thumb in March from which he was reinstated from the DL on Monday.

The 29-year-old started this season on the disabled list after an injury during the World Baseball Classic.
