Italian soccer clubs face match fixing allegations

  • More than 20 Italian soccer clubs are to be investigated as part of an inquiry into match fixing.

    According to the Italian soccer federation, 61 people, including 52 active players, will be questioned.

    Over the past year more than 30 arrests have been made in Italy following investigations into match fixing.

    Prosecutors are currently studying the results of 33 matches.
