Golf: Former World number one Tiger Woods drops out of top 100

  • Hitting a new low in his career, Tiger Woods has now dropped out of the top 100 golfers’ ranking for the first time.

The former World number one and winner of 14 majors, had entered the top 100 nearly two decades ago and went on to spend 683 weeks cumulatively as the number one player in the world.

But after years of poor performances and setbacks due to injuries, the American is no longer even in the top 100. Woods, 39, withdrew from the Farmers Insurance Open in February citing back trouble.
